about

Our first playdate was a walk to the Valero gas station to buy a single Black & Mild cigar. We mostly kept in contact over Myspace direct messages and late-night calls made while she was braiding her aunt's hair out the way. The house parties we danced together at had hasty expiration dates that usually ended massive brawls or with a barrage of bullets. We grew alongside each other, and then we grew apart. One thing never changed; we met up again in every phase of our lives and gave it another try. - W.U

lyrics

[#5 Curfew - Lyric Sheet #PINKNBLUE]

left high and dry where they hangmen
where ya pops be the opps in the same wind
not gang now wasn't gang then
all crabs in a bucket tryna hang rim
met a queen in a rave
always kept some vaseline & a blade
always rolled the gasoline w/ the sage
always sipping Napa leaned in the shade
clean & it's shaved

break a curfew,
wake, a church pew
funeral dates, how great, a virtue
airbrushed the gang
put the hood on our tux's
haircut the waves warped the
wood on our brushes
snowball prince
cause I couldn't go to prom
aim me on yo sidekick
send a lit emoticon
didn't mow the lawn
didn't paint the house
had steal for a meal nothing
to be shamed about
baby Bagdad by that hurt locker
pick a corner, hit a corner like a hurt boxer
break her at the dance she got crazy legs
sweat her get her wetter than a baby's
bed
by the shooter's steps
where the looters crept
stolo was an über x, & they knew her rep
by the food for less, by the overpass,
had to hold her heart before I got to hold her ass

left high and dry where they hangmen
where ya pops be the opps in the same wind
not gang now wasn't gang then
all crabs in a bucket tryna hang rim
met a queen in a rave
always kept some vaseline & a blade
always rolled the gasoline w/ the sage
always sippin Napa leaned in the shade
clean & it's shaved

front porch you would see me & stair
limbs smelt like kiwi & pear
chemtrails, white graffiti in air
10 nails, fight freely & fair
jockin on yo fashion sense
popping, locking, capping since
luther, roger, zapp, & prince
joking, smoking, laugh, & clench
call you when I'm on the bus
creeping though they on to us
sneaking when they sound asleep
weekends know I'm down to meet
Joyride -
picking you up from work
know we had some dinner
as long as my oven worked
Boys ride -
toes all tugging turf
might just pull a heist if life just doesn't work
tell me who's home I'm sliding
get a telly 2 phones on silent
hit a rave on a Saturday
ginger beer Cabernet
on you like a pattern hey
tap you like a tavern aye

left high and dry where they hangmen
where ya pops be the opps in the same wind
not gang now wasn't gang then
all crabs in a bucket tryna hang rim
met a queen in a rave
always kept some vaseline & a blade
always rolled the gasoline w/ the sage
always sipping Napa leaned in the shade
clean & it's shaved - W.U
