about
[Abuse - Liner Notes #PINKNBLUE]
How do I put this, seeing casual drug use triggers me? Last year in December, I had two of my former best friends die due to an overdose on two separate substances. What made these my old best friends in the first place wasn't their death; it was me falling out of a lifestyle that could of very well had me in a grave right next to them. As I'm not a saint myself, I tried most of their vices at least once in my lifetime, but my grievances on how my homies got when they were off the shits fell on deaf ears. My motto is everything in moderation, even moderation. I believe we all have addictions that form from an early age, but what we fail to notice is how our childhood traumas birth our vices. As there are countless examples of how drug habits form during the average American lifecycle, the statistics surrounding drug abuse in predominantly black and brown communities show this crisis is no simple matter. Without one global solution for alcoholism, opioid addiction, or the longstanding crack epidemic, all I can hope for is a real push towards user and victim rehabilitation. Rest well to my loved ones gone too soon. -W.U

[Abuse - Lyric Sheet #PINKNBLUE]
had to look you have the look
adding up then grab your stuff
if we see 12 yell we out
start a riot bail me out
weakness for the thick & woke
tattoos always stick & poke
late night for the lick and lurk
vegan get my chicken jerked
4 doe rented
Boho empress
photogenic
Coco-scented
coke addiction
broke a fiction
do know better,
know no different
no position to judge
ya face down kissing the rug
I feel like a fish in a flood
dead like a dick in the mud
up north picking the bud
tea house, honeycomb bee house
more like a tree house, mixed with a pub
condom wastin, abomination
black resilience, blond impatience
wax Brazilian, contemplating
daddy issues , mom’s replacement
zombin pacing,
stock growth, pot growth
kissing you taste like pot smoke, pot roast
turning heads, burning red, got close
earning cred, burning bread, got toast
calling quick gotta call it quits
smallest kiss made my blood - rush
fork in you then you call a lyft
heard a knock a lotta drugs - flushed
spitball to a wall a bricks , so after you get buzzed - cut
familiar with what you call a risk - said it was love but it was - luck,
laugh-crash-couch-surf, won’t age well smash-gas-out-skirt, road rage spell
ass-last-mouth-first, so grade 12 grow-trim-go-swim, load grey scales
molly passed, as we lollygag only sober lad on this trolly cab
if you ask, no I didn’t have a jolly past
was the dalai lama path or a body bag
fucked, fed, enlightened, entertained
tucked fled, to heighten the inner flame a month away you couldn't put your lunch away nuff said snow white in the winter games last few - deals
past due - bills
streets be - talking
ask you - still
creeps be - stalking
path you - fill
secrets - safe
vacuum - sealed
calling quick gotta call it quits
smallest kiss made my blood - rush
fork in you then you call a lyft
heard a knock a lotta drugs - flushed
spitball to a wall a bricks , so after you get buzzed - cut
familiar with what you call a risk - said it was love but it was - luck,
had to look you have the look
adding up then grab your stuff
if we see 12 yell we out
start a riot bail me out
weakness for the thick & woke
tattoos always stick & poke
late night for the lick and lurk
vegan get my chicken jerked
